Have you ever glanced at yourself in a mirror or on a shop window, I mean the sort of inadvertent glances one gives when one’s mind is absent? Well, I did the other day. I was walking in Miami, passing by one fashion shop after the other when all of a sudden I saw a reflection of myself which shocked me. Have you ever experienced this? Sure you have.

At first the shock I felt stayed well within the recesses of my unconscious mind and I continued to walk, blissfully unaware of what was in store for me. In fact, it may well have taken several windows to finally realize that the reflection that was being bounced back was of me, the sorry image of an overweight and aging 50 year old in need of some serious attention.

And so, as I was passing from one shop window to the next, oblivious of what my mind had registered a few reflections back, little did I know that soon enough, I would be astounded at the sight of me. And what a sight! When did I get so .. yuk.. fat and old. Wasn’t I the lad of Miami streets, a well traveled gentleman in touch with all that made him the man he was? Seemingly, from the image I was looking at, this gentleman had more of him than she should ever have had, and probably traveled way to many times to the local bakeries and other such delightful but oh so sinful places of heaven!

And so, even though I had thus far quite enjoyed my life the way it was, I have resolved to be more frugal in my daily culinary festivities whilst at the same time looking for science as means to help me achieve my goal of losing weight.

And so with the help of science, I have looked at a newish weight loss product spelled two different ways as if to remind us that it has some roots in another and now defunct weight loss product: Fen-Phen.

These miraculous weight loss pills I am referring to are called Rimonabant in some publications and Rimonabant in others
